I have served the hard time of two score and 14 years...
Moving through that time like a leaf down a river of tears.
The America I knew when I was a young child of the South...
Today, is still a bastardized haven still kicking my mouth!
The KKK was ripe and strong outside our nighttime door...
To people like my family stuck in the county of the poor.
They shot off their guns in the darkest part of the night...
Scaring the shit out of the Negros cowering in our fear and our plight!
And today, they threaten to march down the streets of our fathers...
Without one care of the victimized people their action bothers.
Same words in 1965, “We’ll hang your Nigger ass from your own Oak tree!”
And then we’ll have a lynching party as you swing for all to see!
The same disrespect from vicious, evil white men of the south of hell...
It permeates our political system I hoped would save me from their hard sell!
And as my black President, born of my most vivid pot based hallucinations,
Tries to make peace with political Negro haters -- they continue the intimidations!
February of 2013 -- Black history month in the states of this American union!
Black history month -- I am now old enough to be considered my own reunion!
Of my memories of the past, in a time of white man’s cold war paranoia stages...
Juxtaposed with the hellish war in America against black men’s growing rages!
I thank the god you believe in for Martin Luther King and his vision of peace!
His presence at that time prevented a bloody civil war in the south and the east!
It is too bad that white men in America have never forgotten the war they wanted!
Today... they fight that Negro hating war in the political realm of the most vaunted!
They await the day when this Negro experiment comes to its inevitable end!
When will America ever elect another black man to the White House, to then send?
Perhaps never, for when the next white person gains that power back, Republican or other...
White America will never give back that power to another mixed breed brother!
And when the power is completely shifted back to the Caucasian power base,
And the Negro haters convince the others that the confusion was all about race...
I fully expect to revert back to the frightened 6 year old cowering with nothing to say...
As the now empowered haters of the “Them” again embrace derision... like the KKK!
